Chelsea Higgs Wise

Chelsea (she/her) is a mom, social equity consultant and communication strategist. She gives her life to her fam and her work through the radio, writing and community organizing. Chelsea is proud to have been included in the 2018 Top 40 Under 40 Power List of Richmond and selected as a 2018 RMHF Equity + Health Fellow for the Built Environment focusing on the Era of Terror.

In 2019, Chelsea co-founded and became the Executive Director of Marijuana Justice @thcjusticenow, an organization focused on defunding the war on drugs & refunding Black futures. Follow this Black-led non-profit as they organize to repeal, repair & bring reparations through equitable legalization of marijuana in Virginia. www.marijuanajustice.org

Naomi “Nomi” Isaac

Naomi “Nomi” Isaac (they/them) is a cultural organizer, community abolitionist, and political educator focused on anti-imperialism, land liberation, and racial justice work in Central Virginia. As a revolutionary, informed by a family of proud Black women, immigrants, ex-incarcerated people, and houseless folks, Naomi is dedicated to the struggles of marginalized beings across the so-called Global South, using their privilege as someone who comes from a middle-class background to disrupt the myth of white supremacy, neoliberalism, and gendered oppression. They have worked with the Sierra Club as the Equity, Inclusion, and Justice intern, and with Environment Virginia as the lead Field Manager and trainer. Naomi has also worked with Virginia Interfaith Power and Light, and is involved in various local, national, and international people’s survival programs. 

Naomi currently holds an organizing fellowship with Virginia Student Power Network and attends Virginia State University where they study Political Science and Africana Studies.

Kalia Harris

Kalia (she/her) is the co-Executive Director of Virginia Student Power Network , supporting students organizing on and off college campuses throughout the state. 

She is proud to have been featured as one of Fox 5 DC’s 2018 Emerging Black History Leaders, and is currently involved with various community survival efforts locally, nationally, and in Latin America. She wrote her 2019 Master’s thesis on women and non-binary activists in the Black Lives Matter movement, their experiences with activist burnout, and strategies to sustain them in their activism. 

When she’s not on the air, you can find Kalia listening to Meg thee Stallion and hanging with her Pomeranian puppy, Justice.
